Did you know right now there are 122,000 kids in foster care looking for a home?  This year alone, 20,000 will “age out” without ever knowing the love of parents or a secure home.

Think about the impact adoption makes.  You have within your power to elevate the trajectory of a young person’s life, yes.  But then also the lives of everyone that child comes in contact with throughout their life.

This month we celebrate Palm Garden team members, residents and guests who’ve made a difference through foster care and adoption.  Andy Stanley said “your greatest contribution to the Kingdom of God may not be something you do but someone you raised.”

We invite you to enjoy their stories and maybe even get involved.  Adoption may not be in your plans.  Consider getting involved in some way.  Visit our fantastic partner, One More Child at https://onemorechild.org/  There are no unwanted children, just unfound families.

Yiesha Logan Winter Haven Adoption

Yiesha and her husband adopted their daughter in 2006 from the  Department of Children and Families, the State of Florida Foster Care System.  She fell in love with her daughter at first sight. Her favorite adoption quote is “Adoption goes beyond the womb.”  Biology is indeed the least of what makes a woman a mother.
